Presently, we find ourselves in the midst of a new era of travel, driven by digital advancements. The progress in artificial intelligence (AI), notably generative AI (gen AI), and machine learning is empowering the travel industry to redefine how travel is planned, booked, and experienced.

Flow 1 - On Boarding
I designed this onboarding process with simplicity and user engagement in mind. The brief welcome message sets a friendly and inviting tone, making users feel comfortable. The prompts are intentionally straightforward to help in gathering essential information about a user’s preferences and travel habits, ensuring we can provide a tailored trip planning experience from the very beginning.

I designed this explore page with the concept of personalization in mind and catering to our user’s needs based on the prompts answered in the on-boarding process.

How might we provide an efficient way of planning a trip plan for X to maximize their travel navigation experience and usage of AI?
The swiping feature was integrated in this experience to further more enhance and increase a user’s engagement with the app by introducing a new way of interacting with components in a travel app. (Idea was heavily inspired by the swiping feature in dating apps!)

This flow showcases the process of chatting with our AI, Voya for more personal assistance and questions regarding an upcoming or future trip plannings.
