🎨 Hello! I'm Julia, a passionate tech and design enthusiast, constantly driven by the desire to anticipate future trends and innovative solutions. My approaches often involve tackling design challenges head-on, through brainstorming sessions and thorough research, allowing me to deliver impactful solutions across a spectrum of platforms including mobile apps, social media, branding products, and websites.

With a background in Graphic Design, I recently wrapped up my Masters Degree of Information Experience Design (IXD) at Pratt Institute, which helped in sharpening my skills and cultivated my passion for the world of information and technology design (UX & UI). I particularly enjoy engaging in case studies, as they offer a platform to refine and elevate my design strategies.

I also enjoy exploring various cultures and our world through the lens of music. I DJ for fun and love french bulldogs!

Case Studies & Project Experiences

Afar - Music Platform Design

  • Created surveys and recruited 6 users to later conduct interviews with. Results from the interviews were used to create affinity maps, user persona, user journey map, competitive analysis that identify key features to incorporate into the platform itself.

  • At a later stage, ideation was key to creating possible solutions for the users through sketches, mid and high fidelity wireframes, later developed into prototypes for user testing to measure the effectiveness of the proposed solutions.

  • Analyzed the results to later refine and optimize the prototypes to align with user needs and expectations. Finally, presented final prototypes that embody both user-centric design principles and innovative functionality.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The MET) Website - Content Strategy

  • Beginning with an understanding of the strategies and mission of The Met and The Met’s DCT, our content strategy class of four graduates engaged in an analysis of The Met’s digital content program across a variety of dimensions and perspectives. 

  • Our work began with a broad-based assessment of The Met’s website and social media channel offerings, as well as a site visit to selected collections and special exhibitions to understand the “physical” experience of engaging with the art and its context at The Met. 

  • Using a series of content strategy concepts, frameworks, and templates, our group applied those principles and tools to selected pieces of content across The Met’s offerings to “stress test” the efficacy and effectiveness of the content. 

  • These exercises allowed us to examine the content from a variety of perspectives and dimensions, and contributed to the larger content strategy that we presented, including our recommendations to better our audience’s experience.

Archives of American Art - Assessing the Usability of the Fundraising Section to Increase Donations

  • The Archives of American Art is a research center that dedicates its work on collecting, preserving and providing access to primary sources that document the history of the visual arts in America.

  • In order to help the Archives increase fundraising and reach our goal to ensure that there are no barriers to giving, our team of four graduate students from The Pratt Institute School of Information carried out a usability test to study the support section of their website.
